Ewaste Eddie Promotes Electronics Waste Prevention
Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 29, 2008 -- Computer Recycling For Education® (CRFE) announced today it will promote its electronic waste (ewaste) awareness campaign with the appearance of its theme character, Ewaste Eddie®, during the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk activities on March 1, 2008, at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.
"Last year Al Chaney, President and CEO of CRFE, moved his company from Sacramento, CA, to Austin, TX, bringing with him his environmental green elephant, Ewaste Eddie." Linda Moyé, Vice President for Marketing and Communications explained, "CRFE is committed to addressing the significant increase in ewaste generated worldwide. We are very excited to have Ewaste Eddie make an appearance during the MS Walk activities in San Antonio as we continue to educate the public about the impact ewaste has on our environment."
CRFE's goal is to work with other organizations and businesses through its Ewaste Institute?, consulting services and trademark licensing opportunities to increase awareness of recycling and proper disposal options of electronic equipment. As the ambassador of CRFE, Ewaste Eddie promotes education and action toward ewaste prevention, electronics reuse and computer recycling. He is trademarked in print form as a cartoon icon and as a full-size costume character.
