EverGreen Electronics Expands iPod Recycling Program Globally

Monument, CO (PRWEB) March 24, 2008 -- EverGreen Electronics is expanding their popular iPod Recycling Program making it available to consumers worldwide. The program offers consumers the highest price for their working or broken iPods, while at the same time ensuring that the product is recycled to keep the potentially hazardous components out of the landfills.

"There has been such a rush of interest from the global community about our iPod Recycling Program that we felt that expanding it was our only option" reports Richard Hauf, CEO of EverGreen Electronics. "Keeping brominated compounds and other potentially-hazardous components, which are found in iPods and iPhones, out of landfills around the globe is an important part of our mission at EverGreen Electronics. Most of the iPods on the market today have batteries that are soldered to the motherboard making it difficult or impossible for consumers to change them, which leads them to throw away the product. This, in turn, puts possibly harmful compounds in our landfills " Hauf added.

Hauf goes onto explain, "The core of the iPod recycling business is two fold. When we recycle an iPod we disassemble it into its core components at our facility. Once, dismantled we test each of the components to see if they are in working condition and able to be reused. The parts that cannot be reused are shipped to reclamation companies that recondition these items for resale or reuse. Environmental recycling or disposal companies manage the hazardous components. Unlike the Apple iPod Trade-In Program that provides consumers with only a 10% discount on the purchase of a new Apple iPod, our recycling program does not require the customer to purchase anything from our company. At the same time, we offer the highest cash price for both working and broken iPods."

The largest demand EverGreen Electronics has seen over the past six months is from the European market where they field dozens of recycling requests each day. Due to this global demand they have expanded the recycling program to Europe and the rest of the world.

The EverGreen Recycling Program is available through the company website at www.evergreenelectronics.com.

Founded in 2006, EverGreen Electronics sells, repairs, and recycles Apple iPods and iPhones through the company website at www.evergreenelectronics.com. Located in Monument, Colorado the company refurbishes over 5,000 Apple iPod and iPhone units per month. EverGreen Electronics is the environmental leader in iPod repairs and recycling with an innovative environmental program. A comic book, or comics for short, is a magazine or book containing sequential art in the form of a narrative.
